ABOUT MY ART
My work is rooted in the search for transformation. I paint what words often cannot say: moments of tension, beauty, longing, clarity. Every canvas is an invitation, to slow down, to breathe, and to look inward.
Textures, color layers, and movement come together to form pieces that speak both softly and powerfully. I work mostly on linen stretched over aluminium frames, combining raw materials with refined energy.
Through abstraction and symbolism, I aim to open space for your own story. Because in the end, my art is not just about me, it’s about you, too.

WHAT I CREATE
I create mixed-media paintings that explore identity, growth, and emotion. Each work is layered with texture, color, and meaning, built up through intuition, movement and reflection. My style blends abstract shapes with symbolic elements, resulting in works that are both raw and refined.
From earthy tones to vivid contrasts, every piece carries its own atmosphere and story, yet always leaves room for your imagination to breathe.

I’m Boaz Veen, a Dutch visual artist with a heart for meaning, movement and storytelling through paint.
From an early age, I was drawn to the power of images. Not just for how they look, but for what they say.
I believe that art has the ability to speak when words fall short. It can slow you down, open something up inside, and sometimes even shift the way you see the world.
I create large-scale, mixed media paintings from my studio in the Netherlands. My work explores themes like identity, growth, and the tension between chaos and clarity. I use layered textures, color fields and symbolic forms to capture emotional movement, often in raw, intuitive strokes.
I paint what I wrestle with. What I dream of. What I observe in others.
But more than that: I paint to connect.
Because I believe art is not only made to be looked at, it’s meant to be lived with.
